Lost Tribe

We need more unity, more guide

More than ever God on our side

Not jealousy, not killing

But consistency in being willing

We are strong, you need to see

Our purpose known before destiny

You speak wise thru your words

But not of things I have not heard

Like they say, words are cheap

And many dangers lay in a gas seep

I see many talking the talk

But very few are walking the walk

Our women are riddled with aids

Fights break out at the Dr.  Martin Luther King, Jr. parade

Looks like a few generations were robbed

Too many mothers’ hearts have throbbed

And time is still spinning webbed cobs

I think a lot is still unsaid, and a lot still unfair

If you’re looking for a lie, I don’t have one to spare

So it’s time for politicians and leaders to take heed

Who in this nation has really been freed?

You have men not from this country owning stores

Were not born here, never fought a war

But Veterans in wheelchairs living on the street

Don’t own a twin bed, let alone their feet

Mother’s and children living on skid row

No one to run to, no place to go

I don’t mean to be mean, but where is the land of the free?

I think you see it, too, I know it’s not only me!

It’s Just a Dream

Looks just like heaven it seems

But Lord of mercy, it’s just a dream

I saw many mansions not built with hands

I saw brightness shining on a man

But Lord of mercy, it’s just a dream

The golden streets that looked like ocean’s glass

When the old world had vanished and passed

But Lord of mercy, it’s just a dream

The foundation was of every gem

And I thought I saw huge diamonds hanging on a limb

But Lord of mercy, it’s just a dream

I even saw a gigantic, awesome throne

And everything I cherished was my very own

But Lord of mercy, it’s just a dream

I know it has to be true

And I know you know it, too

But someday it won’t be just a dream

But heaven that was pulling at my seams

I Want to see it All

I want to go through life seeing things

What can life offer, and bring?

I want to see different kingdoms, and homes

And walk close to a live bee’s honeycomb

Visit Africa, Japan, China, and Rome

And see the real way that the Spaniards dance

Go snorkeling while the water puts me in a trance

Share the romantic city with my vision in France

Boating along the rivers of the Egyptians’ Nile

The entire time just share a smile

I don’t know what true love really is

And I don’t own a Mercedes Benz that’s hers, and his

I want to fall in love for real

And know it’s true by the way that I feel

Maybe one day even find a man

That keeps me in place, and has his demands

I Am that I Am!

I’m your iron that sharpens iron tool

I’m your sweater when it’s cool

I’m refreshing, you’re H2o

I’m every good thing that you know

I’m the five fruits and veggies that you’re eating and drinking

And all the positive thoughts that you are thinking

I am that I am more than enough

I’ll be here when your life gets rough

Sometimes I may seem to be your little pain

More than anything I’m your gain

The bubbly in your suave

The opener of your life’s doorknobs

I’m the beginning, and the end

I’m everything that heavens send

I’m your early morning mist

I’m your things to do list

I’m the laughter in your child

I’ve walked with you a million miles

I’m the green in the grass

I’m your forever polished brass

I’m your patience when things are slow, I’m your shovel in the snow

Even your silk linen and your gators

I’m your desires, I’m your caterer

I’m your Bentley, diamonds, and gold

I Am that I Am, the one that holds your soul!

A Man of Action

A man of action

Will not settle for mediocrity in its small fraction

A man of action will shine

He will be firm, but kind

And walk into the unknown blind

Give attention, demand control

A man of action thinks from his soul

And he will reach his pot of gold

A man of action will not lose focus

He will trust in God and no hocus pocus

His hand will extend to its farthest reach

And he is diligent in what he has to teach

A man of action will not stand idle and let no good thing pass

For he knows the green will overtake the watered grass

A man of action will not feel the drought

Because he was prepared through his thoughts

A man of action could conquer the sea

A man of action is the man for me

For I will live my destiny(c)
